ALIVESHOES Amsterdam : Green is Maximilian Ehrhardt
For the ALIVESHOES project in Amsterdam Maximilian had chosen the colour green. With his installation he wants to draw the spectator into a secret garden in the middle of the city’s noises and turmoils. Almost like in Alice in Wonderland the visitor is asked to pick up the shoe in order to hear the hypnotizing melody coming from the inside…
BIO
Maximilian Ehrhardt was born in Tettnang (Germany). After preliminary education at the “Landeskonservatorium für Vorarlberg” (Austria) and the “Konservatorium der Stadt Zürich” (Switzerland) he studied the harp with Erika Waardenburg at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (the Netherlands) from where he graduated in 2009 with the Master’s Degree with distinctions. Since 2008 he is a student of Mara Galassi at the “Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano” (Italy), where he is currently finishing his degree in historical harps. Maximilian is regularly performing in solo recitals, theatre productions, baroque orchestras and chamber music ensembles all over Europe. He has worked with ensembles such as the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, the Gürzenich-Orchester of the Cologne Opera, the Sweelinck-Orchestra and Musica Temprana. Maximilian played recitals in the Early Music Festivals of Utrecht, Hoorn (the Netherlands) and Montfrin (France). He is also giving masterclasses and lectures on historical harps. Future performances in 2011 will include a solo recital during the World Harp Congress in Vancouver (Canada), a concert as orchestral soloist during the MITO Settembre Musica Festival (Italy) and a concert/lecture series in Estonia.
