Âmôwaskw

Âmôwaskw, Swampy Cree for Dandelion. In the urban jungle with foliage of brick and concrete, dandelions still break through the cracks and bring colour and life to the monotonous lifeless streets. There’s beauty in chaos.

About Krystie Khaos (Christian Hoeppner)

Krystie Khaos aka (Âmôwaskw/Christian Hoeppner) is the co founder and guitarist /vocalist of the Toronto based powerviolence, crust, street punk band S.R.S.C . Of Métis and Cree descent they were born in the city of Winnipeg. After years spent moving down the highway and train tracks of Canada, a family was found through the street life and punk scene. Montreal became home for sometime, until settling in Toronto. Âmôwaskw(Dandelion), is Krystie’s name in Swampy Cree, making her brand name personal and an homage to her heritage. Krystie found a way to blend her chaotic life, music and art into the shoes that she creates. Many of which are dedications to loved ones who are intrinsic to who she is today. “I don’t really care about making money, every shoe I make for someone, any profit is going to that person or wherever they would like it to go, I just want the people I care about to have the chance to have something unique and special. Not everyone can say they have their own shoe.” - Krystie Khaos
