Passion for fashion in New York in the early 80's, hip hop and sports scene really inspired Cj Palmer.

But not only that, it is also the aesthetics of the world around him that inspires him, all of which led to the creation of 19 shoes, 3 of which from his sketched capsule collection.

Here is the interview we did with him:

If you had to introduce yourself, how would you talk about yourself?

I describe myself as artistic and assertive.

Where does your passion for fashion come from?

My passion for fashion comes from growing up in N.Y.C in the early 80’s, It’s hip hop and sports scene really inspired my fashion sense.

How did you get into the platform?

I’d searched for years as an artist for a way to design my own sneaker line, while designing t shirts and hats and came across the AliveShoes platform maybe around 2017, and here we are today with 19 shoes including 3 of my sketched capsule collection.

Where do you draw inspiration from to make your products?

I draw inspiration from everything around my me, it’s the aesthetics of the world that brings me inspiration.

What do you think a pair of shoes can convey?

A sense of strength, worth, beauty and pride.

What are your brand values and identity?

We value the luxury and affordability of beauty and art, which is simply priceless.

How do you imagine your collection in the future?

I imagine my collection being a household brand in the near future.

How was your collection born and how does your personality influence the brand?

My collection was born in the busy streets of 80’s N.Y.C and my personality influence on the brand is pushing forward one step at a time.

What do you think of the union between Italy and the United States?

I love everything of The United States and also Italy. I'd love to visit Italy soon! And if we are talking simply about fashion, then we’re definitely going to have to agree that fashion can’t be mentioned without the mention of both!
