About the Nondumiso Mabaso


From a very young age the designer of SIGA sneakers was drawn to shoes. “I did not really fuss about the clothes I was wearing, but shoes were an absolute occasion for me. My earlier childhood was filled with very little self-confidence, even though I would be told how smart I was, I just never believed it due to other challenges I faced growing up. It was when I wore shoes I liked and picked myself that my confidence would sky rocket. When I noticed how good shoes made me feel, I held on to that, to a point where buying myself a good pair of sneakers would literally remind me to walk with my back straight, offer a firm handshake, look people in the eye and have my entire being firmly facing forward.” “I have also had the pleasure of travelling many countries through my work and it is during these travels that I got to really explore my love for shoes, and more particularly, my love for sneakers. One thing I have always known is that I want to start my own shoe line one day and this line would have two things that would carry the brand, quality and comfort. This gave birth to the SIGA Sneakers brand.”
