Olympic gold medalist Ron Freeman's 25-year 43.2 is the longest-standing relay split in the Olympic Games history. His record was established at the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games in the 4x400 meter relay. Freeman also won a bronze medal in the open 400 meters. He has helped millions of youth on three continents to build self-esteem, leadership, and decision-making skills in the areas of education, health, and sports. His efforts focus on girls in the Republic of Guinea, Africa and assist more than 600, 000 youth with an emphasis on staying in school. Freeman has received the Global Humanitarian and Jappo Humanitarian awards. He is an inductee at the National African American Museum of History and Culture in Washington D. C. Freeman is the founder of the International Medalist Association, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
