It all started in elementary school. Shoes was a matter of expression, style, and the right shoes made you popular among your peers. My cousins was always in new shoes, me? Not so much, my mom would get me Payless and get my cloths from goodwill. Meanwhile my cousin were in Nikes, Adidas, and Fila's. Only way I would get shoes is when I grow out of them, or they started to fall apart. My mom got to a point where she would buy them a size or two bigger so they would last longer, then I would have to stuff the top of the shoe for them to fit. Often my mom would get me a pair of playing shoes from goodwill normally without laces. One day I wanted to join the basketball club, but I couldn't because I didn't have an appropriate pair of shoes. Only way I would get my hands on a actual pair of named brand shoes is when/if my cousins didn't like a pare or they were uncomfortable in them, and they would give them to me. This is what set me on my path that i'm on today.
