Permanent collection
Halyard Way was given its’ name from a street that Benz grew up on. This shoe got its color way from the house she lived in on that street, which was beige with dark brown shutters. The serpentine was a great accent color for the design. It was the very first house she ever lived in at the age of 5, when her family moved to Myrtle Beach, SC.

I would like to thank you all for even clicking this link. As you all know, my name is Benz. I’m 31 years old & I was born and raised in the Carolinas. I fell in love with shoes at an early age. I mean growing up, Jordan’s were a big deal, especially being from the Carolinas; his hometown! As a kid, everyone wanted the latest shoe, and how clean they were, was just as important. After every basketball game as a kid, I’d ask my dad to take me to the mall to get shoes. I didn’t want to go out to eat or celebrate, I just wanted shoes! I remember one year my mom couldn’t afford to buy me any, so I cleaned up a pair of my white Air Force Ones, and painted the thread white so that the shoe looked brand new. Each time I had on a pair of new shoes, I felt good about myself. Ever since, I just always had a natural love and eye for shoes. What better way to pour into that love, than to create my own.
