About Frederick Michielsen
Frederick Michielsen, aka FredAndFilou, is an upcoming artist from Antwerp, Belgium. Born on a sunny day back in 1977, he grew up with the joy of painting and drawing. However, it was only after his 24th birthday that he started to develop his distinctive self-taught style.
Instantly recognisable, a FredAndFilou is a riot of colour. From canvasses to cars, sculptures to houses, Frederick is inspired by how he feels, or what he feels. Nothing escapes his eye for detail, with even the borders of canvasses often included in the painting.
