About Kara Andrews
Kara is a Denver, Colorado native currently based in Pennsylvania. She has studied the craft of shoemaking across the United States, with training in Oregon, Arizona, New York, and Colorado, along with international coursework in footwear design and construction. Her background spans both hands-on craftsmanship and design, grounded in a deep respect for traditional techniques and thoughtful innovation. In 2015, Kara was a founding member of The Footwear Making Guild, reflecting her dedication to community-building, education, and the preservation of shoemaking as a skilled trade.
