About Dr. Theresa Brockmeyer
Theresa M Brockmeyer (formerly Theresa M Heinz) has held a computer programming career position, worked as a special investigator for medical fraud and as a correctional officer, and is now a mental health practitioner in Sidney, Iowa. Theresa has another side: creative, which includes art and photography and designing clothes and shoes. She has photos published in books and on the Smithsonian’s website, as well as pictures in the Chicago Tribune. She is a local and National member of the American Counseling Association and of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. She worked at a correctional facility while finishing her counseling degree. Her goal is to rehabilitate inmates so that they can have a normal functioning life when they are released so that they do not return to a life of crime.
She was a longtime member of the local anti-fraud ACFE Chapter and the national ACFE chapter.
She has an associate's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Criminal Justice. She has earned a Bachelor's in Informatics Management. She has a Masters in Cyber Security and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has a diverse background in multiple computer platforms. She has traveled the globe and now resides in Shenandoah, Iowa.

A little bit about myself:
Present: Since April 2018, I have lived in Shenandoah, Iowa, after moving from Omaha, Nebraska. I am married to a chief engineer at the local radio station KMA. I am a mother and a grandmother.
My daughter Julia is a salon owner in Boise, Idaho. She was an executive at a bank, and she woke up one day and said I want to live my dream and use my cosmetology degree and experience. I fostered the home by doing what she loves. My grandson Kaleb is 15, and Brennan is 11; they play competitive soccer and camp in a 5th wheeler with their parents in the summer in the national parks.
