Our team aims to make designs from the AliveShoes platform visible in the most important national and international fashion magazines and the most popular influencers.

R99 appeared all over Vanity Fair's website for an entire week.

The photos of the designer of the brand were the background for the music section of the magazine.

Specific banners featuring the shoes’ design—vertical and horizontal—appeared in the most important articles of the week.

About the R99 brand

R99 is more than just a brand, it is a lifestyle of wit and grit; a story of triumph. The story behind R99 sneakers, the design and colours work together to embody a lifestyle of becoming Bolder and Better in anything and everything one does. The first R99 collection focuses on three elements: versatility, simplicity and colour. Versatility: R99 is perfect for a variety of activities. It fits you, not the other way around. Simplicity: the make-up is simple yet sophisticated because, needless to say, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Colour: although Black and White are technically not colours, with black not visible in the colour spectrum – they evoke BOLD emotions! R99 combines Black and White to evoke feelings of strength, elegance, freshness and positivity.

An idea and design created by Mncedisi Siteleki

Mncedisi `MC` Siteleki was born and raised in South Africa. He is the founder of R99 and a researcher, currently completing his PhD at the University of Oslo, Norway. R99 is a story of Mncedisi `MC` Siteleki, who grew up in an underprivileged township in Gauteng, South Africa, and had one pair of old and ruined shoes in University. With his first paycheck as a student assistant, he bought his first pair of sneakers, which amounted to R99.99 (ZAR), the equivalent of 6€. After moving to Norway about 9 years later in 2017, MC started his own shoe brand named R99.
