About the brand and style of The Mark I


I see the brand as a data driven fashion house. In the future I see myself collaborating with various researchers, designers and analysts to continue to make great items for people to enjoy. The Mark I is the first iteration of this project resulting in a versatile sneaker boot that can be enjoyed by both women and men. The black and white colorway is subtle, and it allows people to wear it with a variety of outfits and yet the gold eyelets gives the shoe enough boldness to stand out. A lot of my customers say that The Mark I is their favorite shoe. Some of my customers tell me that they wear them every day to work, while some say that it's their go to shoe for a night out on the town.nI even had one customer tell me that they keep their shoes somewhere else, so they don't get tempted to put them on every time they step out of the house! The feedback is really encouraging because it confirms that the research really did produce something enjoyable and I look forward to serving many more people in the future.

About the man behind the brand: Randolph Davis


Hello, my name is Randolph Davis and I'm a recent graduate of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. I'm relatively new to marketing and analytics and I wanted to start a project that would help me get experience in the field. After some research, I came across the Alive Shoes platform and it gave me an idea for a project. I wanted to see if I could create footwear that could be enjoyed by both men and women. Once I was given access to the platform, I began a series of surveys to determine what design and colorways would be successful. After a few tries I finally got enough data to create the shoe.
